First contact with the fisherman’s trade for students of the training promoted by the OPP

During this week, the students of the training to learn the fisherman’s profession have started the fishing baptisms, experiencing the profession in first person in the different fishing boats of theConfraria de Pescadors de Palamós.

It will be during the months of July and August that the students will complete the practices in the different boats of the Confraria de Pescadors de Palamós.

This training, which was launched on April 24, has been imposed by the OPP, together with the Consell Comarcal del Baix Empordà, the Escola de Capacitatció Nauticopesquera de Catalunya, the Confraria de Pescadors de Palamós, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the European Union – Fons Marítim i de la Pesca-, with the aim of promoting the sea trades, and especially fishing, among young people, to promote generational renewal.
