The Palamós Fish Producers Organisation (OPP) is launching a new edition of the Fisherman Sailor Course, a free training programme aimed at people who want to start working on a fishing vessel.

This course provides the basic knowledge needed to enter the sector, including regulations, safety, navigation, and onboard operations.

The training includes:

Theoretical training: 24 hours of basic content to start working in the fishing sector.
Practical training: 18 hours focused on knots, mooring manoeuvres, fish classification, net mending, and the use of PPE.

Course dates: from November 2 to November 30, 2026.
Location: Casa del Mar, Palamós.
