At the OPP of Palamós, we have closed the two training sessions held on 4 and 5 November at the Casa del Mar in Palamós with very positive outcomes. The sessions, aimed at fishers, skippers and vessel owners, took place in a friendly and engaging atmosphere.
On Tuesday, 4 November, we organised the “Empowerment Tools Workshop”, a session specifically designed for fishers and crew members. The training focused on developing autonomy, involvement and professional growth within the fishing sector, as well as on exploring training and certification opportunities to progress to new roles on board.
The following day, Wednesday, 5 November, we held the “Team and Crew Management on Fishing Vessels” session, addressed to skippers and vessel owners. This session provided practical tools to enhance leadership, communication and crew motivation, with the aim of improving teamwork, coexistence and overall performance on board.
Both activities included a breakfast for participants and provided a valuable space for dialogue, reflection and learning among sector professionals.
At the OPP of Palamós, we highly value the positive response and engagement of all participants. We will continue working to offer new training opportunities that promote professional development and the well-being of everyone who is part of our fishing community.
